Bulter Makes It a Day of Services

Abdul Jeelani, foreground, a former professional basketball standout from Racine tells Washington Wizard player Caron Butler, background,  about his ordeals that led him to be a client at Racine Healthcare Network in Racine.

The round table meeting was held with Butler and Barb Tylenda, Executive Director of the Healthcare Network, an organization that provides free medical and dental services for the uninsured, as well as individuals whose lives have been changed by the services provided by the organization.

Bulter hosted a "Day of Service" to recognize the honor that was bestowed upon him several years ago by holding a day of service.

Earlier Mayor John Dickert proclaimed June 8th as a day to be recognized as "Caron Butler Day" throughout the city of Racine for Butler's contribution and philanthropic endeavors in the community.

During the day of service, Butler made appearances at various agencies and organizations that support his beliefs of community engagement.
