There will be a public listening session by the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance in RACINE/KENOSHA from 4PM until 7 PM, on December 3, 2009 at Tallent Hall on the University of Wisconsin-Parkside campus.

Have you or someone you know ever been stopped, questioned, detained, or arrested for being the wrong race/color in the wrong place/neighborhood at the wrong time?

Some in our state tend to think that racial profiling doesn't exist. If you disagree this IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY to raise awareness and share your thoughts and experiences about this issue.

Please come out and bring friends, family members, and others to share their experiences and make recommendations about how to address this issue.

I am a white male and was stopped by an Indian female? Is that racial profiling or sexual harassment?

anons: white males were not historically oppressed...or currently for that matter...

so, i guess you can attend, but i doubt if anyone will be sympathetic to your plight....

I've seen black officers let black people go just because they are black. Is that reverse racial profiling? Just curious.

So, it is the belief of some that only minorities can be harrassed or oppressed. That kind of thinking is racist.
