County candidates Q&A: Lumpkin and Kaplan, District 4
RACINE - Jim Kaplan and Ken Lumpkin are no strangers. They've been political opponents before, running against each other for seats on the Racine City Council and the Racine County Board.
Kaplan is currently the board's District 4 supervisor. Lumpkin lost the seat to Kaplan in 2008. The district covers a diverse part of Racine's midsection, just north of the river, along the Douglas Avenue corridor. The election is April 6.
There is no good choice in the 4th District-Kaplan is arrogant and vindictive and Lumpkin was ineffective as a supervisor-missing many, many meetings. I am writing in the gal running for alderman.
