Above, people from the nearby neighborhood joined Rev. Tony Larsen, Pastor of Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church and members of the Racine Interfaith Coalition in the resactification of “holy grounds,” a practice by the group whenever there is a homicide in Racine County. Minister Jackie Streeter, who lives only a few houses down from where the murder occurred, said an inspirational prayer in-front of about 150 people.
Wilbert Thomas, 65, 1004 Grand Ave., a convicted sex offender, was jailed Saturday morning and faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide and robbery by use of force, according to jail records.
