Deaunna Morris, 13, earned her trophies in her first tournament. Deaunna participated in the Tri-State Championship held in Union Grove High School, Saturday April 25, 2009. She holds her first place trophy in forms, and she received the seven foot Grand Championship for being the best in forms sections. She placed second in sparring. Deaunna is a student at The Martial Arts Center, 1661 Douglas Avenue, under the direction of Master Instructor Charlie Johnson. Deanna is the granddaughter of Juanita Morris. Three trophies in one day, good job Deanna! For her accomplishments Domino’s Pizza will be giving her a Student Award.
