Racine Interfaith Coalition will hold its annual Public Meeting at New Omega Baptist Church, Northwestern Ave., on Monday, October 26, 2009, from 7:00 to 8:30pm.
On hand to speak will be Mayor Dickert, a representative from the Census 2010 committee, and the leaders/chairpersons of RIC's task forces including: Sacred Ground, Immigration, and Dare to Dream - Violence No More. Our Ministry Caucus will also make a presentation as will a representative from WISDOM's Treatment Instead of Prison Committee.
There will be two songs performed by a blended choir made up of RIC’s various church choirs under the leadership of Christ Church music director Alan Biehn.
During the evening RIC's 19 congregations will be recommitting themselves to our principles of community leadership to serve the less fortunate and organizing around faith-based ideals. We promise never to keep you longer than 90 minutes and to make the evening one that will inspire you.
