Al Gardner, an outspoken community activist spoke before Aldermen Tuesday night about the suggested naming of the Racine Transit Center after civil rights leader Corrine Reid Owens.
A special committee was appointed by Mayor John Dickert to explore possibilities of naming a city property after Reid-Ownes, who is 96.
